Honey Crusted Pears

This dessert is one of our all-time favourites, featuring our proudly Western Australian produced honey. Serve with a dollop of Browns Dairy's thickened cream or some of simmos vanilla ice cream and you have yourself one locally-produced taste sensation!


  • 2 tablespoons of Wescobee honey
  • 1 tablespoon of real 100% butter
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 4 pears roughly chopped
  • 1 cup of cake crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon of desiccated coconut 
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Browns Dairy thickened cream or vanilla ice cream from Simmos to serve

  1. Heat the butter, 2 tablespoons of Wescobee honey and lemon juice gently in a saucepan.
  2. Add the chopped pears and gently cook them over a medium–low heat for 5–10 minutes. 
  3. Remove the pears from saucepan and place in a heat-proof dish.
  4. Combine the cake crumbs, desiccated coconut and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the pears. 
  5. Dot with butter and place under a hot grill until golden brown or place in the oven at 220 degrees Celsius for 15 mins. 
  6. Serve warm with a dollop of Browns Dairy’s thickened cream or vanilla ice cream from Simmos
