Our team is located in Bayswater, just north of the Swan River. We are passionate about our district and beekeepers, so naturally enjoy getting involved in a range of community and industry activities!
The Honey Festival has been celebrated since 1930’s and was started by Mr Tom Powell, who oversaw the sales of Wescobee during this time.
This much loved event is held annually on the Sunday of May as part of Honey Month, a national celebration of our bees, honey and the important role honey bees play in food security.
At Wescobee, we are committed to working with our beekeepers and industry to protest Western Australia’s forests and the sustainability of the Western Australian Beekeeping industry.

Recent Karri honey flows have been steady, but is nothing compared to the record breaking amounts produced in the mid 1950s. Impacted by unsustainable logging, fires and climate, the production of Karri honey has continued to decline since the 1960’s.
However, we anticipate conservation efforts to ramp up this year, following a recent study published by CSIRO, to protect the majestic Karri tree and its unique honey. We are determined to assist in the protection of these magnificent trees.
